About Me

Hi, I'm Mr. Thomas. This will be my third year at NLE and my sixth year as a teacher. I began my teaching career in Belgium, where I taught Dutch as a foreign language to middle and high school students.

When I moved to the U.S., I made the switch to elementary school. The last two years, I taught third-grade English and Social Studies, and this school year I made the move to second-grade French Immersion.

I am originally from Leuven, a small city near Brussels, Belgium. I have six pets (two dogs, two cats, and two bearded dragons). One of the beardies will join my classroom as a class pet!

School breaks equal traveling the country. I love to travel and discover new places. Hiking is probably my favorite thing to do on vacation.
