What is the French Immersion program?
French immersion is an educational program where students learn the Louisiana curriculum for Math, Science, and Social Studies in French, taught by either a Francophone teacher from CODOFIL or an American fluent in French. The primary goal of French immersion is to expose children to a new language and diverse world cultures through their education.
When can I register my child in French Immersion?
The French immersion program is available for children aged 5 to 6 years, starting at the kindergarten level. To enroll, children must pass an entrance screening. Children cannot enter the program after kindergarten. Registration typically begins in mid-July. For more information, you can contact the school.
