A Warm Start to the New School Year!
August has been a month full of energy, creativity, and exciting new beginnings for our French Immersion community.
Camp Beausoleil
The week before school starts, Mme Emilie Mouligne, 3rd-grade teacher at NLE, led Camp Beau Soleil—a week of fun and learning for our students.
Activities
Tie-dye t-shirt making
Creative arts and crafts
Learning about France’s most famous monuments
Exploring sports like the Tour de France and rugby
Cooking and enjoying delicious crêpes
It was the perfect way to get ready for the school year while celebrating French culture!
Welcome New & Returning FI Teachers
We are excited to welcome:
Ms. Camille Guillois from Normandy, France, is teaching 5th grade.
Ms. Hannah Bergeron is returning to NLE to teach 6th-grade math and science. She is teaching science at BPMS for 7th and 8th grades.
French Immersion Parents' Night
Les Amis organized a traditional meet-and-greet event for parents and teachers. During the event, we held a presale for our 2025-2026 T-shirts and had a massive cookie bar. Students and parents were able to introduce themselves to their new teachers.
Many people attended, and the atmosphere was wonderful!
L’École des Loisirs subscription
Each year, Les Amis de l’Immersion participates in purchasing a subscription to L’École des Loisirs. Once again, we aim to bring French stories to our students! Throughout the school year, each teacher will receive 8 varied, engaging, and stimulating books. These selections are carefully chosen to align with your child's age and interests.

NLE News
NLE is excited to welcome the new Kindergarten class, about 60 new students, including 38 in French immersion.
